Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long is the session?
A: Everyone's level of familiarity with crafts is different. Session times will vary. The approximate duration of a session is 60-80 minutes. Our advanced workshop for lei poʻo can range from 90 minutes to 2.5 hours.
Q: Do I get to keep the lei?
A: Absolutely! Thereʻs nothing like the feeling of wearing a fresh lei or even better, giving it away to a special someone!
Q: Do men wear lei?
A: They sure do! We will learn more about this in our session.
Q: True or False. Is lei making only done by women?
A: False. Lei are made by everyone. We canʻt wait to tell you more about this!
Q: How long will my lei last?
A: The life of your lei will depend on the lei materials and the care given to it. Your instructor will be sure to explain how to care for your lei once itʻs complete.
Q: I didn't make a reservation ahead of time. Is it too late to reserve?
A: Lei are made from fresh flowers and foliage which are gathered by hand. Time is needed to be sure we are able to gather all the materials necessary. If your request is within the 6 day window for the Lei Experience or 3 day window of the Lei Wili Lesson, send us an email and we'll see if we can make it happen.
